The cardigan is worked top-down with raglan increases and integrated buttonholes. The collar is worked back and forth in rib with shaping, followed by increases for the yoke. The yoke is shaped using raglan increases and short rows to create a good fit across the shoulders. The work is then divided into body and sleeves, and continued in stripes and stockinette stitch. The body is finished with a rib hem and a double-knit edge, while the sleeves are worked in the round with decreases and finished with rib.
