The poncho is knit flat from the top down. Begin by shaping the top of the back with short rows, then knit the back piece in stockinette with folded edges. The fronts are knit from picked up stitches at the top of the back. Finish by folding and sewing the edges to the wrong side and adding fringes to the bottom of the work
