Gauge
16 stitches and 22 rows on needle size 5 mm in
stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in.

If your gauge does not match, try using larger or smaller needles. If you have more than 16 stitches per 10 cm / 4 in, try a larger needle. If you have fewer than 16 stitches, try a smaller needle.
