The Barbara Sweater is worked sideways from sleeve to sleeve. First, one sleeve is worked in the round from the cuff upwards. The work is then divided, and the front and back are worked separately back and forth, leaving an opening for the neck. The front and back are joined again, after which the second sleeve is worked in the round from the top down. Finally, a 2x2 rib is worked along the lower edge of the sweater.
